Changes in Soil-Phosphorus Fractions by Nitrogen and Phosphorus Fertilization in Korean Pine Plantation and Its Natural Forest

چکیده
Phosphorus (P) is the restraining aspect in forest ecosystem, particularly temperate regions, and makes ecosystem more liable to nitrogen (N)-derived acidification. However, it remains poorly understood how N P fertilization together affects soil-P availability other soil properties. To address this question, a factorial experiment was conducted with additions under two ecosystems, i.e., Korean pine plantation (KPP) natural (NKPF). Both forests were divided three subplots each subplot underwent four different treatments, C: control (no addition), L: Low treatment (5 g m−2 a−1 + 5 a−1), M: Medium (15 10 H: High (30 20 a−1). Results revealed that fractions changed during over time although organic-P (Po) lower than inorganic-P (Pi) fractions. The residual increased overall, along deposition soil. Soil organic carbon (SOC) present NKPF soils as compared KPP. Principal component analysis (PCA) indicated at medium there maximum of treatments both forests, while high showed some fixation across forests. Furthermore, SOC negative correlation P, pH positive correlation. Total P. Therefore, recommended application rate 15 suitable these types enhance availability.

Converting the native rangelands to simplified agronomic communities causessome changes in soil carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus. Establishing of perennial plantcommunities on formerly cultivated rangelands is expected to stabilize soil properties andincrease the amount of C, N, P stored in rangeland soils, but there is little information on whatplant communities are the most effective for impro...

Timber harvesting, with and without prescribed slash ®re, and wild ®re are common disturbances in pine forests of western North America. These disturbances can alter soil nitrogen (N) pools and N supply to colonizing vegetation, but their in ̄uence remains poorly understood for many forests. We investigated the effects of clear cut harvesting and ®re on KCl extractable N pools, net N mineralizat...

15 صفحه اولDoes Soil Disturbance Affect Soil Phosphorus Fractions?
Increased turnover of organic matter as a result of soil disturbance (e.g. by soil tillage) is described in principle, but the direct influence of soil disturbance on soil P turnover especially for organic farming systems has not been sufficiently proven. The objective of the study was to evaluate the short term effect of soil disturbance on different soil P fractions in a soil shaking experime...
متن کاملLeaf and soil nitrogen and phosphorus availability in a neotropical rain forest of nutrient-rich soil.
The nitrogen and phosphorus supply in a lowland rain forest with a nutrient-rich soil was investigated by means of the leaf N/P quotient. It was hypothesised a high N and P supply to the forest ecosystem with a N and P rich soil. Total N and extractable P were determined in the surface (10 cm) soil of three plots of the forest. Total N was analysed by the Kjeldahl method, and P was extracted wi...
